What happens if I sell my house?
If you sell your home during the period of your loan then there are 2 main possibilities.
If you are selling your home to move to another property, then, with some Lenders, the amount of the loan can be secured on the new property. This will of course be subject to the amount of the loan in relation to the equity available and your previous payment history.
If you are selling your home but not investing in a new property, then you will need to make arrangements to pay the loan back at the time you finalise on the sale of the house. Because our loans are secured on your property, you must own a home to be able to continue the loan. If not investing in a new home, then you can arrange to settle any outstanding loan amounts from the sale.
If you are thinking of selling your home, get in touch with us as soon as possible, and we will talk you through the process.
